How to Use Xanigo Marine’s Mold & Mildew Preventer

1. Step 1: Remove Existing Mold & Mildew

   Begin by eliminating existing mold and mildew using Xanigo Marine’s Mold & Mildew Stain Remover. Apply the remover generously to the affected areas, ensuring the seats remain wet for 60-90 seconds. Use a brush to agitate in circular motions, effectively lifting mold from vinyl pores. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.

2. Step 2: Neutralize the Remover

   After rinsing, neutralize any residual remover to protect your boat's surfaces. Spray Xanigo’s Waterless Wash onto the clean surfaces and wipe with a microfiber cloth. This step prevents the remover from drying out vinyl or affecting stitching.

3. Step 3: Apply Mold & Mildew Preventer

   Spray the Mold & Mildew Preventer evenly onto clean, dry surfaces. Use a microfiber cloth to spread the solution thoroughly, creating a protective covalent bond that resists mold and mildew growth for up to 90 days. Suitable for various marine surfaces including vinyl seats, life jackets, canvas, ropes, compartments, live wells, bilges, and patio furniture.

4. Step 4: Maintain with Waterless Wash

   Between prevention applications, maintain your boat’s cleanliness without harsh chemicals. Spray the Waterless Wash, let it sit for 15-20 seconds, and wipe with a microfiber cloth. This removes sunscreen and other debris that can promote mold, while preserving the protective layer.
