Self-Contained Halyard System

Achieving a tight forestay can be challenging on lighter sailboats, particularly those with fractional rigs. The Profurl C260 addresses this issue with its innovative self-contained halyard, effectively minimizing forestay sag. By reducing mast compression caused by combined loads from the halyard and sail, the C260 ensures optimal sail tension and performance.

Easy Installation

Installing the C260 is straightforward and does not require specialized attachments to the forestay stem head. It easily mounts to the lower swage terminal of the forestay, whether using eye and holes plates or a turnbuckle. For boats that are transported and stored on trailers, the C260 can be conveniently separated into two sections, significantly lowering the risk of damage during transit.

User-Friendly Operation

The system features a self-contained halyard that routes over a sheave box integrated into the top of the extrusion, then returns to a sheave and cam cleat. Once the sail is hoisted and properly tensioned, any remaining halyard length serves as the furling line, simplifying sail adjustment and reefing processes for the sailor.
