Safety and Compliance
Safety is paramount when it comes to marine propane systems. Our LPG cylinders are engineered with multiple safety features:
- Blown-molded polypropylene internal bladder for leak prevention.
- Fiberglass outer winding for added toughness and impact resistance.
- UV-protected casing that allows visibility of propane levels without compromising integrity.
- DOT and TC certifications ensure compliance with U.S. and Canadian safety standards.
Refilling and Maintenance
These cylinders are DOT-approved for use in the USA and TC-approved for Canada. You can refill them at any reputable marine propane refilling station. To maintain safety and compliance, your cylinder must undergo a re-qualification every 5 years through an external visual inspection by an approved re-qualifier. Note that the valve does not require removal or replacement during inspections, as per DOT and TC regulations.
Performance in Various Climates
Whether you're navigating icy northern waters or cruising in the heat of the tropics, our LPG cylinders are built to perform:
- Cold Climates: Tested and approved to operate efficiently in temperatures as low as -40°F/C. Ensure your LPG mix is suitable for low-temperature vaporization.
- Warm Climates: Designed to withstand temperatures exceeding 149°F (65°C), these cylinders remain reliable even in the hottest marine environments.
