Intelligent Battery Management
The Cyrix-Li-ct utilizes a microprocessor-controlled heavy-duty relay to automatically connect batteries in parallel when one reaches a pre-set charging voltage. It disconnects the batteries when the voltage drops below the float level, preventing over-discharge and ensuring optimal battery health.
Efficient Power Utilization
Unlike traditional diode isolators, the Cyrix-Li-ct offers virtually no voltage loss. This means you don't need to increase the output voltage of your alternator or battery charger, maintaining efficient power delivery to your boat's electrical systems.
Seamless Parallel Connection
The Cyrix-Li-ct effectively parallels a lead acid starter battery with a LiFePO4 battery under the following conditions:
- The charge disconnects and the VE.Bus BMS output is high.
- The combiner senses 13.4 V (for 12V systems) or 26.8 V (for 24V systems) or higher on one of its power terminals.
Immediate Safety Disconnects
For enhanced safety and protection, the Cyrix-Li-ct will disengage immediately under the following circumstances:
- When the control output becomes free floating, indicating cell over-voltage or over-temperature.
- When the battery voltage drops below 13.2 V.
Start Assist Function
The combiner features a start assist function that sends a short negative pulse to close the relay for 30 seconds, providing the necessary power boost to start your boat's engine.
Voltage Spike Protection
A built-in transient voltage suppressor safeguards your electrical system by limiting voltage spikes that may occur when the Cyrix-Li-ct suddenly disengages due to cell over-voltage or over-temperature conditions.
