Adaptive 6-Stage Charge Algorithm

The Blue Smart Charger employs a microprocessor-controlled adaptive battery management system that automatically optimizes the charging process based on your battery’s usage. The six-stage algorithm includes:

Storage Mode

Extend the life of your marine batteries with the storage mode feature. When the battery hasn’t been discharged for 24 hours, the charger reduces the float voltage to minimize gassing and corrosion, preventing electrolyte stratification and sulfation. This ensures your batteries remain in peak condition even during prolonged periods of inactivity.

Li-ion Battery Compatibility

Versatile and adaptable, the Blue Smart IP22 Charger is capable of charging Li-ion batteries using a straightforward bulk–absorption–float algorithm, making it suitable for a variety of marine energy storage systems.

Fully Discharged Battery Recovery

Never worry about deeply discharged batteries. The charger can initiate charging even if the battery voltage drops to zero, and features an internal disconnect function to safely reconnect to fully discharged Li-ion batteries.

NIGHT and LOW Settings

Operate your charger quietly with the NIGHT or LOW settings. These modes reduce the output current to a maximum of 50% of the nominal output, ensuring noiseless operation. The NIGHT mode automatically deactivates after 8 hours, while the LOW mode can be manually turned off as needed.

Overheat Protection

Designed for reliability, the Blue Smart Charger includes overheat protection. If the temperature rises up to 50°C, the output current is automatically reduced to prevent overheating, ensuring safe and continuous operation even in demanding marine environments.

LED Status Indicators
