Application Process

Applying SikaForce®-315 in a marine environment involves the following steps:

1. Dispense the adhesive from the dual mini syringes without using an applicator gun.
2. Use Mixer Tips (included with the product or available separately) to ensure proper mixing of the two components.
3. Extrude the adhesive without the mixer to equalize filling levels.
4. Attach the mixer and discard the first few centimeters of the bead to guarantee a consistent mixture.

Processing Conditions: Ensure that SikaForce®-315 is applied when the product, ambient, and substrate temperatures are between 10°C and 30°C to achieve optimal curing and bond strength.

Removal and Cleanup

Handling excess or uncured adhesive requires careful removal to maintain the integrity of marine components:

• Uncured Adhesive: Can be removed from tools and equipment using Sika® Remover-208 or other compatible solvents. Ensure proper ventilation and safety measures when handling solvents.
• Cured Adhesive: Must be removed mechanically, such as with sanding or scraping tools, to avoid damaging marine surfaces.
• Skin Contact: Immediately wash hands and any exposed skin with an appropriate industrial hand cleaner. Do not use solvents on skin to prevent irritation or harm.
