Installation Options

The Type R Stand Alone Remote can be mounted as a separate drive system, offering flexibility in installation location. It requires the addition of a second steering cable and a compatible connection kit. Available connection kits include:

• Mercruiser or Volvo Penta stern drive engines
• Outboard engines
• Universal kit for inboard engines

This design ensures that the drive unit is positioned away from the engine's heat and vibrations, enhancing durability and performance. An interconnect cable is used to link the remote drive unit to the engine steering system, utilizing one of the easy-to-mount connection kits.
