How the BI-200 Works

The BI-200 Battery Integrator seamlessly connects multiple battery banks only when a charge voltage is present. This integration allows simultaneous charging without the need for diode isolators. When the charging source, such as an alternator or charger, is active and provides a voltage of approximately 13.2 VDC or 26.4 VDC (depending on the model), the integrator operates as a smart switch to connect the batteries. Once the charge voltage is no longer present, the integrator automatically isolates the battery banks to prevent drain from the secondary or standby battery into the primary battery.

By maintaining this selective connection, the BI-200 ensures that each battery maintains its charge independently, avoiding voltage drops in the charging system and preventing the higher-charged bank from discharging into a lower-charged bank. Additionally, the unit can be remotely activated to provide an extra boost from the secondary battery during engine start, enhancing starting performance.
