GP1800 Series Compatibility

The GP1800 Series is tailored for the 9.5" Guard, allowing you to mount a single radar or chartplotter at the helm. SailPods are optimized for visibility and ease of operation, making it simple to view fine details on your screen. For optimal setup, mount a single SailPod on a Single Bend AngleGuard, or use Double Bend AngleGuards to position an InstrumentPod on the top vertical section and a SailPod below on the angled section.

Gen3 Family Enhancements

The Hi-Gloss Material

NavPods are crafted from a custom co-extruded acrylic capped ABS material, ensuring superior UV resistance and a high-gloss white finish that complements gel-coated fiberglass. The Gen3 version features a thicker gauge material, enhancing strength and structural rigidity for long-lasting performance.

The Waterproof Seal

Equipped with a double gasket system, all NavPods provide an excellent watertight seal between the front and back, protecting your marine electronics from harsh offshore conditions. Gen3 improvements include a thicker external silicone gasket for a better flush fit and an internal EPDM gasket that is 50% thicker, preventing compression set and ensuring reliability when servicing your electronics.

The Nickel Chrome Plated Screws

Each NavPod comes with stainless steel mounting hardware, including large round head tamperproof screws with deeper sockets for improved holding when tightening. The Gen3 upgrade introduces nickel chrome-plated screws, offering enhanced security and a stylish finish.

The Manufacturing Process

Our heavy-gauge thermoforming process combines precision and craftsmanship. Our in-house design engineers use CAD programs like SolidWorks, Catia, and AutoCAD, interfacing with CNC machining centers via Surfcam to produce high-quality tools with precise tolerances. In 2015, we redesigned and retooled all popular NavPods, integrating the best design elements from previous models into the new Gen3 products.
