Waste Evacuation

The Jabsco 18590 series DC macerator pump unit excels in emptying marine holding tanks, especially in areas without discharge restrictions. With a self-priming capability up to 5 feet, this pump can empty a standard 30-gallon (115-liter) holding tank in under 3 minutes. Its robust duty cycle allows for continuous operation for 15 minutes, enabling the pump to evacuate up to 180 gallons (680 liters) in a single session.

To maintain optimal performance and prevent sediment buildup, it is recommended to flush holding tanks with several gallons of water after each pump-out.

Fish Box and Livewell Tank Evacuation

The Jabsco Macerator Pump is perfectly suited for draining fish boxes and livewell tanks. Often, livewell tanks are positioned above the boat's waterline, allowing gravity to assist in the emptying process. However, when gravity isn't sufficient, the self-priming and grinding capabilities of the Jabsco Macerator Pump ensure effective evacuation.

Fish boxes are typically installed below or partially above the waterline, making the Jabsco Macerator Pump an ideal choice. Its ability to handle bait residue, including ice and fish scales, ensures seamless operation without clogging, catering to the needs of today's sports fishing boats.
