1. Regular Replacement: Replace all impellers at least once a year, or sooner based on engine usage. Adhering to a preventative maintenance schedule helps avoid unexpected failures.
2. Easy Replacement: Remove the end cover screws and use a Jabsco Impeller Removal Tool or channel lock pliers to grip and remove the impeller hub. Avoid using screwdrivers to prevent damage to the pump body.
3. Spare Impellers: Always carry spare impellers on board to handle emergencies promptly.
4. Greasing New Impellers: Apply grease to new impellers to facilitate installation and protect during the initial prime. After greasing, replace the gasket and end cover to complete the installation.
