Installation

Replacing the impeller is straightforward with the following steps:

1. Remove the end cover screws.
2. Use a Jabsco Impeller Removal Tool or channel lock pliers to grip the impeller hub and remove it.

Note: Do not use screwdrivers as they can damage the pump body and cause leaks, and may be dangerous in confined spaces.

Maintenance

To ensure consistent engine performance, replace all impellers at least once a year, or more frequently depending on engine usage. Proper installation can extend the impeller lifespan, but adhering to a preventative maintenance schedule is recommended for optimal reliability.

Tips:

• Always carry spare impellers on board for emergency replacements.
• Grease new impellers before installation to facilitate easier fitting and provide added protection during initial engine prime.
