Product Description
Product Description
The AISnode NMEA 2000 Boat AIS Class B Receiver is the ultimate solution for boaters seeking seamless AIS integration with their marine electronics. Designed exclusively for the NMEA 2000 network, AISnode offers effortless installation and reliable performance, ensuring you stay informed of all nearby AIS-equipped vessels.
Effortless Installation
Installing the AISnode is straightforward and hassle-free. With its single, integral 0.75m NMEA 2000 cable, the AISnode draws power directly from the network while transmitting AIS data seamlessly. Follow these simple steps to set up:
- Locate or install a spare NMEA 2000 "T Piece" on your vessel's network.
- Screw the AISnode cable into the "T Piece" connection securely.
- Connect a VHF antenna to the AISnode.
- Complete the installation, and the AISnode is ready to operate.
High-Performance AIS Reception
The AISnode is equipped with a true dual-channel receiver, ensuring it captures every AIS-equipped vessel within VHF range without missing or dropping any targets. It supports all the latest NMEA 2000 AIS message types, including AIS SARTs, AtoNs, and Class B static data. This guarantees full compatibility with modern AIS-enabled chart plotters, providing you with comprehensive situational awareness on the water.
Why Choose NMEA 2000?
NMEA 2000 is rapidly becoming the industry standard for marine electronics due to its enhanced reliability and ease of use. Most new boats are equipped with NMEA 2000 networks, and nearly all new chart plotters feature NMEA 2000 interfaces. Compared to the older NMEA0183 standard, NMEA 2000 offers a more robust and scalable solution, allowing for seamless integration of multiple devices without the clutter of numerous cables.
Cost-Effective Alternative
While our AIT2000 and AIT3000 Class B Transponders provide NMEA 2000 connectivity with built-in transponders, the AISnode offers a cost-effective alternative for those who prefer not to invest in an additional transponder. It remains a popular choice for small chart plotters that require a dedicated AIS receiver without the extra expense, making advanced AIS functionality accessible to a broader range of boaters.
