Installation Instructions

1. Preparation: Ensure that your alternator mounting does not require excessive belt "travel," as the BBU mechanism may limit this movement.
2. Remove Existing Arm: Detach the current adjustment arm from your alternator mounting bracket.
3. Attach Belt Buddy: Secure the Belt Buddy adjustment mechanism to the existing arm or directly to the alternator mounting bracket, following the provided hardware instructions.
4. Adjust Tension: Use the Belt Buddy to fine-tune the belt tension, ensuring it is neither too tight nor too loose for optimal alternator performance.
5. Finalize Installation: Double-check all connections and ensure that the belt moves smoothly without any obstructions.

Caution: Using the BBU mechanism with an existing adjustment arm may reduce the available "travel" in the arm. Confirm that this adjustment does not interfere with your alternator’s mounting requirements before purchasing the BBU.
