• Default Mode: Suitable for larger motor and sailing vessels, triggering alerts for all crew members while simultaneously cutting off the engine to maintain vessel control
• Crew Tag Mode: Ideal for crew and passengers on both motor and sail vessels, alerting remaining crew without shutting down the engine to facilitate immediate rescue operations
• Helm Tag Mode: Designed for smaller motor vessels under 35 feet, acting as a kill cord that stops the engine if the tag moves beyond a customizable distance from the hub. This mode allows the user to depart and return without triggering MOB alerts and should not be used as a primary MOB system

Enhanced Safety with the OLAS Mobile App

The OLAS mobile app provides additional safety features to ensure comprehensive protection on the water:

• Solo Mode: Enables automatic SOS messaging for inshore boaters or those on vessels without offshore connectivity, sending distress SMS with essential vessel information to predetermined emergency contacts
• TrackBack and Last Seen Location: Generates direction arrows and distance records to guide rescuers back to the MOB location, displaying precise latitude and longitude for effective coordination
• Automatic VHF Mayday Information: Creates a VHF script with vessel details and last seen location data, facilitating accurate and efficient Mayday calls to maximize rescue chances
