Once the witness label is removed, the radio will auto power on when the battery is connected, and the unit will also automatically enter GMDSS operation mode with the following preset settings: channel 16, volume level 8, and squelch set to 2. This battery is the only battery included when the SR303 radio is purchased as an Emergency Radio (p\/n 4586).
